Capturing the moment.

I started a blog as a way of capturing and recording all of my thoughts and opinions on all things fashion. It wasn't until I began writing posts that actually I realised it doesn't always have to be as simple as photographing daily outfits and sharing internet finds with the world but a wider world of photography, inspiring a whole range of new fashion; through colour, texture, print and shape. This is when I came across Instagram; an amazing Iphone app (mentioned by a handful of fellow bloggers) which allows anyone to transform a photo into a beautiful (almost professional) image by simply choosing a filter. Now Instagram has become my major tool for this blog; proving you don't need an massive budget to start, just a creative mind and a passion for a topic!

Looking back at my summer photography collection, I seem to have found an unexplainable passion for all things furry, colourful and cute! Perhaps this love has come from being constantly surrounded by my sisters' five month old puppy (who in the two weeks of staying with me had managed to chew up a pair of shoes, numerous bras, one of my boyfriends birthday pressies, a couple of bed cushions and bought a small mouse to my feet twice) and rabbit whilst she sunbathed on a sandy beach drinking Mojitos, somewhere in the middle of the Greek Islands. So during my 'bonding time' with the pup that soon became known as 'destruction doggy', to most of my family and friends, I took an interesting mix of photos using my fabulous new app of food i'd eaten, flowers i'd loved and obviously the animals!

Mustard for Autumn

If your like me, and getting depressed with the flourish of chunky knits, knee high boots and thick tights suddenly entering both the high street and every fashion magazines September issue, then I've got something that will keep the summer alive for as long as possible! I've completely totally fallen in love with a mustard yellow printed dress I'd picked up over the weekend. Not only does it look great dressed down with a cable knit cardi, but also as a fun, floaty evening dress, with chunky jewellery and block bright wedges! Definitely a dress that will brighten up any autumn wardrobe.

New Look dress, Primark belt.

Keep the summer sun rolling...

Wild Child

Any occasion, for me, is an acceptable excuse to purchase a brand new pair of fabulous shoes. Just in time for my other half's 20th birthday celebrations, I set out on a mission to find THE most fantastic pair of chunky strap wedges I could find; and that I did. What could be more glamorous and stylish than these Leopard print platforms?

And if ever I need to reason myself as to why I bought them, my valid excuse is that they go with absolutely everything and look phenomenal. Whether needed to modernise that vintage white crochet dress, to sex up that dull office pencil skirt and blouse combo, or even to rock that old frayed band t-shirt that you've been dying to get back out, they'll do the job (whilst making your legs look super long!). Just add a pedi and a brightly coloured nail varnish and up your style credentials in the blink of an eye. But leopard print is not just for your feet! Just look how Eliza Doolittle is rocking the trend.

Whether you chose one statement piece like Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung, or all out like Rihanna and Beyonce, be sure to rock it with confidence!

Here are some of my highstreet faves...

Topshop leggings... £20

Topshop faux fur coat...£98
