Bold lips and big brows

Had such a productive day today in the planning process for the Fashion Show my course is organising and today we had out photoshoot for the advertising. Now just time for us to wait for the photos to be edited and then we can get them sent off to the graphic design student for him to work his magic on them for the advertising material!

We wanted the make up to be dramatic and edgy whilst having full volume in the hair. I absolutely LOVE the lips we created for our lovely model and just wish I could get away with wearing them on a night out. I would definately have to get my Gaga head on... Make up crush to the max.

Little lace dress

The snow is finally here!

I love that feeling when you wake up and look out your window to find deep, undisturbed snow covering the lifeless trees of the winter. Nothing pleases me more than taking a long walk, in my floral wellies and wooly hat, to my local country pub. It reminds me of the days when I would pray for snow just so I didn't have to go to school.

I went out last night to a lovely chinese buffet and wore my new lace dress that I bought from Asos. It's possibly my new favorite dress. I absolutely love the high kneckline; it looks so sleek. Although I do have to be careful that the lace doesn't get stuck to the lining when I stand up, causing extremely cringe-worthy exposure.

Chunky knit and scarf

Busy, busy day however Fashion Auction preparation is well on the way!

Logo is currently being made by a graphic designer, posters are in the process of being made and sponsorship letters are being drafterd ready to be sent to the (hopefully generous) businesses of Northampton. Whilst the styling team have revealed their mood boards and are beginning to create 15 looks for three different trends - China doll, Fetish and Futuristic; all coming together to create a real individualistic interpretation of Freak Like Me! Can't wait for this event.

So just a short post before I overindulge myself in the never dissapointing Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough in front of a film...

Couldn't resist a cheeky mirror snap!

It's been a while

Wow, it's been far too long since I last posted and I have so much to share over my past few months.

First of all, I had the greatest (but very cold) few days break in the fabulous city of Amsterdam over Christmas. It's been somewhere I've always wanted to go and see after hearing such amazing things about it and it did not disappoint. However it was totally different to how I imagined it to be; there were no crowds of loud, over intoxicated men on seedy stag weekends, hash cakes were not present in every single cafe over the capital and as for women in windows, the only sighting was the one time I accidently got lost wondering through a small side street of red lights. Instead I was embraced with the beautiful canals and the tiny vintage antique shops that completely encapsulated the town of Amsterdam. Along with the best hot chocolate with the cutest biscuit, that I have ever tasted in my entire life.

The city of bikes

Hot waffles thank you! Yum.

The there's Christmas and I got the new Olympus Pen camera (Thank you Mum!!) which has not left my side since. For my news years resolution, alongside the conventional need to get fit/must use my gym membership, I decided I wanted to take a photo every single day so I can create a 'my year in photos' kind of scrap book. So here's a selection of them so far... although I won't bore you with my PJ Sunday snaps which is becoming apparent that they are happening a little too often.

But most recently, I've been appointed Marketing and PR assistant manager for my universities Fashion Auction which we are in the process of organising! Very exciting times, and I will keep you posted on this!

But on a Fashion note I want hair like this...

Oh, I've also developed an obsession to Fantasy Shopper where I can create outfits from the high street offerings, although sometimes I'm tempted to turn my fantasy purchases into real life purchases. Not such good news for my bank balance. Although I did purchase a few dresses in the Asos Sale Saturday afternoon... I shall be sitting by the letter box in anticipation for their arrival!

Happy Monday!
Love Emma

Leather jacket and spots

Where did the week go! I've been very busy this week juggling assignment deadlines, shopping trips and working in the big city for Vauxhall fashion scout. So I can't wait to do absolutely nothing but sit watching the Xfactor results show with my boyfriend and a tub of Ben and Jerrys cookie dough tomorrow night!

I went to Manchester last weekend to do some Christmas shopping with my boyfriend and came back with a grand total of zero presents for friends and family and more than enough enough pressies for myself, including a gorgeous berry toned asymmetrical dress which I picked up from Topshop and some sparkly ballerinas. It was my first time visiting the Trafford centre and to be honest I didn't know what all the fuss was about. To me it seemed like any other shopping centre, this was until I set foot in the food halls! China town, Italian side streets and even a ship; I couldn't decide where I actually wanted to eat, it was amazing!

Then Wednesday and Thursday I worked for Vauxhall Fashion Scout for their selection event, where buyers, designers, stylists and editors all came together to help make the decision on who to reward the internationally acclaimed Merit award for London Fashion Week A/W12. It was such an interesting day, hearing what people in such powerful positions in the fashion industry had to say about the designers and believe me it got heated at some points; a very tough decision was made...

I must say having to walk straight past Brick Lane was fairly difficult too... However very much regretting not buying a spotted mesh body! Very Stella McCartney.

Today, I'm currently bidding on an Oasis black leather jacket... staring price 99p and I'm the only bidder, sounds promising. Love the intensity of eBay!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Drapers WGSN Fashion Summit

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working backstage at this years Drapers WGSN Fashion Summit show which featured some of the recent fashion graduates from all over the UK. Feathers, chains and architectural knits were just some of the intricate details that graced the catwalk, and what an eclectic mix of designs there were! I absolutely loved it.

Oh and the toilets wern't half bad either in the beautiful One Whitehall Place... MASSIVE!

Me and some of my fellow dressers!

Asymetrical maxi and studded belt

Just a quick post before I trot off to Saturday job number two (something has to pay for my addiction to clothes!). Basically I LOVE my black asymetrical maxi skirt. What it may lack in bright colour, print or funky texture, makes up in drama , especially with the studded belt! And I certainly felt like a drama queen for this night. As much as I'd love to wear this during the day with a pair of roughed up boots and chunky cable knit cardi, unfortunately I'm not blessed with legs up to my armpits and so this baby will have to retire to my 'night out' wardrobe. But for all you lucky beauties over 5"5, I envy you.

P.S -- Check out my Leapord print wedges, cheeky bargain from soyoushoes!

Happy Bonfire night ladies!
